Week 1 - Emails

Day 1

Good morning!

Take a deep breath and set your intention for this journey.
 
Then, I invite you to
  1. Assess how you are feeling about your body… honestly.  
  2. Wonder, how you want to feel about your body.
  3. Following the steps in the workbook and after spending time process in your journal and paint your cards or draw your mandala, create two affirmations that indicate your shift between how you are feeling and how you want to feel.​
Affirmation 1: Today, I listen deeply to my body and I am open to hear its wisdom.

On the back side of the card, I would write this affirmation and on the front I would write “I listen deeply”.

Affirmation 2: I choose to move my body the way it craves to move.  I learn to love to move my body more and more everyday!

​On the front side, I would write “Move”.

Day 2

Good morning!

Dr Clarissa Pinkola Estés offers an interesting perspective about the body in her book Women Who Runs With the Wolves (Chapter 7):
 
"Some say the soul informs the body.  But what is we were to imagine for a moment that the body informs the soul, helps it adapt to mundane life, parses, translates, gives the blank pages, the ink, and the pen with which the soul can write upon our lives?  Suppose, as in fairy tales of the shapechangers, the body is a God in its own right, a teacher, a mentor, a certified 
guide?  Then what?  Is it wise to spend a lifetime chastising this teacher who has so much to give and teach?  Do we wish to spend a lifetime allowing others to detract from our bodies, judge them, find them wanting?  Are we strong enough to refute the party line and listen deep, listen true to our body as a powerful and holy being?"
 
Take some time to journal on that quote and notice what comes up for you.  Create your two affirmations.

Day 3

Good morning!

Today, I invite you to connect with your awesome future self, 5 years from now. 
 
She was where you are today, she did the journey you are doing now and she has a totally new relationship with her body. 
 
Take a couple of deep breaths and connect with her.  It is possible just because of your intention of connecting with her. 
 
Look at her, what does she look like, what is she surrounded with, what does she do?  After a while, merge into her and feel how it feels to have this new relationship with your body. 
 
When you feel complete, journal your experience and create your affirmations.
 
Example of affirmations (look for more in the workbook):
Affirmation 1: I can imagine and almost feel the cells in my body regenerating. (On the front side, I would write: “Regenerating”)
Affirmation 2: My body totally knows what it needs to do to heal, I give it space, I trust and I relax. (On the front side, I would write: “My Body Knows”)

Day 4

1- Today, wonder:

What do I need to accept about my body? 
What am I ready to accept about my body and what is my body wants me to accept about it?
 
There is what you intellectually know that you need to accept and there is what you are ready to accept at this point.  This inquiry invites you to heal the divide between what you think that you should do or feel and actually having a say on what you are ready to accept that might not be in line with any messages you’ve received so far.  This is a great opportunity to release self-judgment.
 
2- Think about scheduling something to do to nurture and show your body some love.

Day 5

Good morning!

Today, inquire:

What do I need to apologize for to my body?
What does my body need me to apologize for? 
 
 Happy discovery!

Day 6

Good morning!

Today, tune into your body and wonder what brings joy to it. 

Journal about it and give your body the pen. 
Start by writing to your body and then just write dear (your name) and continue as if your body was writing. 

From that writing exercise, create 2 new affirmations.

The inquiries for today are:
 
What am I grateful for about my body?
What is my body grateful for about me?
 
Create your 2 affirmations from your journaling.



*** Bonus exercise: If you don’t know about the Ho’oponopono, I invite you to look at the Bonus section and learn a little bit about it.  Then, scan your body and repeat the mantra as you become aware of each part of your body.  This is another simple way to connect with it

Day 8

Welcome to the second week of this journey! 
 
The guided visualization for this week - Mind Visualization is just above.
 
As you move your focus from your body to your mind, keep the channel open to your body.  After all, what you think about it happens in the mind… there is not really a disconnection.  This week, you will become even more aware of your mind and your thoughts.  I invite you to watch the BONUS video on how to deal with your inner critic as it will be very useful this week.  ​
Please come share your cards, affirmations, and how you deal with your inner critic.
 
Today, your inquiries:
 
As you are making your cards, or cooking dinner, or interacting with people around you, notice the thoughts that cross your mind.  Are they judgmental?  Are they happy?  Are they open and welcoming?  Notice how they impacted how you felt about yourself, the people, and your work.   
 
From your journaling, write your two affirmations
 
Examples:
 
            I am recognizing when the Inner Critic is talking, and I become stronger in redirecting my  focus. 
            I gracefully release self-judgment thoughts as they arise.  ​

Day 9

Good morning!
 
Your mind is composed of three sections:  Conscious, Subconscious, Unconscious

Today, I would like for you to go deeper in your exploration of your mind.  Yesterday, you spent the day aware of your thoughts.  This time, wonder what makes you think the thoughts you think.  What makes you act this way or another?  What stories, events made up the beliefs you hold? 
 
It will help you become more conscious of what is from your subconscious and unconscious. 
 
From your musing, create your two affirmations:
 
Examples (there are more in your workbook): 
- I am compassionate toward myself as I become more and more aware of my thoughts every day. 
- I am conscious of my thoughts and I learn to choose loving and encouraging ones.

Good morning,

Your inquiries today, are:
 
How am I a prisoner of my own mind? 
How can I get out?
What’s keeping me in this prison?
           
Free write for 10-15 minutes on these inquiries and notice the resistance, notice the thoughts, notice the beliefs.  From your writing sessions, write two affirmations on your cards.
 
Example:  I learn to appreciate my mind and how it works.

Today, your inquiry is:
 
What do my mind need to feel honored and nourished?
 
Create your two affirmations and take or schedule one action from what came up in your writing session.

Write your two affirmations and again do something that you were inspired to do.

Day 13

Good morning,

Today, I invite you to look at some of the filters that are tainting your perception of the world around you, of yourself.  These filters are your beliefs and stories about how the world, about love, abundance, about what you deserve, what you are worth.  

Choose a topic and make an assessment, then wonder:  Do I still want to believe that?  If not what would I like to believe?

 

Finally, write two affirmations on your cards. 
 
Examples:
            I am willing to change my perspective and open my mind to new ways of thinking.
            I choose to believe that I am worth receiving love and abundance.  The Universe is love
and abundant, I am open!

Good morning,

On this last day of focus on your mind, the inquiries are:

What am I grateful for about my mind?
What is my mind grateful for about me?
 
Try giving your subconscious or even your unconscious mind the pen. 
You might have to write from the conscious mind for a little bit before. 

Also, watch the BONUS video on the Brain Pathways and do the exercise… it might help you access your subconscious and unconscious mind.

Your prompt today is to think of a challenge that you are experiencing in your life and wonder about if you were looking at this challenge from the perspective of your spirit, what would be different?

Day 18

Good morning,

Today is not as much an inquiry as it is an exercise: 
 
Think of a fear that you feel (fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of being seen, etc).  Then on your cards, release it to the paper as you paint.  Imagine the fear and its power on you goes through your arm, hand and the paintbrush all the way to the card.  The card will transmute the fear.  Write an affirmation.  Do this on two cards and release two fears.  If you do the Mandala cards, release the fear through the pen and colored markers/pencils.

What am I grateful for about my spirit?

Give your Spirit the pen and write your two affirmations from your channeling!

Conclusion

Good morning,

Congratulations, you completed the Body – Mind – Spirit Wisdom journey.  You know yourself a little bit better and you can do it again later as new insights will come through.  Now use your cards, and let your wisdom inspire you on your path to freedom to be who you want to be.
 
Look in the workbook for ways to use your cards.  If you typed your musing, you might want to print them out and use them as reference when you pick a card.
